The Amalekites were a nomadic, war-like tribe and persistent arch-enemies of the Israelites, originating from Amalek, the grandson of Esau. God ordered the destruction of the Amalekites primarily as divine judgment for their unprovoked, brutal attack on the weary Israelites after the Exodus from Egypt (Exodus 17:14, Deut. 25:17-19).
This command in 1 Samuel 15:2-3 was a punishment for their persistent wickedness, including child sacrifice, and their role as an implacable enemy threatening Israel’s survival. We are all on a journey of life. A journey of exit from one perspective to the next. For us believers, our journey is in the service of GOD. At Glorious Mountain of GOD Family Chapel, we are called in the service of our GOD to unite and reconcile Individuals, generations, Families, Churches, Marriages and Countries et al back to a relationship with, and the agenda of GOD.
In this journey, either collectively or individually, we face challenges (Our own Amalekites); sometimes many unprovoked attacks to our weary spirit. We face our modern day Amalekites who wage Conflict and War to us that may derail us from the agenda of God-Called to unite and reconcile. Our modern day Amalekites might be our own picture of the Flesh or Spiritual attacks. However, GOD is aware. GOD is with us. GOD is continuously hedging on us. GOD will totally annihilate our Amalekites out of our way. He is the Supreme GOD. He still remains Enthroned. GOD will decree to completely blot out the name of our Amalek from under heaven and declare perpetual war against them from generation to generation. That war and Conflict that perpetually encircles us in the Service of GOD isn’t ours, it is God’s. Focus, eyes on the price. See what GOD our GOD shall surely do.
